The following pages are my diary record from our fundraising trek on behalf of the Alzheimer's Society. From 1st - 15th September we hiked from below the shadow of Mont Blanc in France to the Matterhorn, over 100 miles away, in Switzerland. The trek took us through many high passes in the Alps, and across a variety of stunning terrain. Six of us set out: Tim Hill, Paul Gittins, Paul Leader (Tarquin), Dav Stott, Colm Connaughton, and Jo Collingwood. Nine of us came back, but that is another story! This version is inevitably subjective and biased, and has not been edited by most of those on the trek... It looks as though we've raised approximately 2500 pounds so far - we would like to thank all the sponsors for so generously supporting such a fantastic event!
